Union: Russia’s gold production rises 8% to 236 tns in Jan–Sep

MOSCOW, Dec 14 (PRIME) – Russia’s gold output grew about 8% on the year to 235.999 tonnes in January–September, the Union of Gold Producers of Russia said in a statement on Thursday.

Miner gold production rose 7% to 188.763 tonnes, byproduct production grew 14% to 12.946 tonnes, and scrap gold output rose 3% to 27.203 tonnes.

Silver output fell 7% to 1,182.89 tonnes in the period.
